TREMBLAY, Maurice A.

On February 6, 2010, Maurice Arthur Tremblay passed away at Elk Valley Hospital, age 80 years.

A hard worker all his life, having been a Faller for 53 years. Working in B.C., Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec, along the way saw a lot of Canada.

Next 10 years, Maurice worked in the Elko Mill for C.F.I. until retired in March 1993.

He enjoyed retirement and went walking every day with his faithful companion, Kayla. Stopping to chat with friends, Kayla sat quietly taking in the conversation.

We are lucky to have a variety of wild life near our house; elk, deer, coyotes, Canada geese, loons and the osprey with their towering nests.

Coming from a large Quebec family of 13 plus father Paul and mother Anne Marie. All had to work during the depression years. A farm was a source of meat and vegetables, fish from nearby streams and lots and lots of berries.

Maurice leaves behind his wife Shirley, and also a son, Jerry Raymond of Great Falls, Montana.

Retirement was a source of enjoyment for Maurice. Occasional trips back home to visit all the new family members. No shift work which we did not miss. He was a member of IWA for a number of years, card #CR 33059.

A gathering of friends in memory of Maurice Tremblay, long time resident of Baynes Lake, will take place at 2:00 p.m., February 27th at Lions Hall, Baynes Lake. Talk and remembering good old Baynes Lake. Refreshments will be served.
