JOINSON:
Peter Joinson passed away at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the age of 73 years. Peter was born in Fernie on March 18, 1937 to parents John & Margaret Joinson.
Peter is survived by his daughter Sharlene (Craig) Wilcox of Cranbrook, his son Randy (Mary) Joinson of Courtenay, grandchildren Candy Wilcox of Medicine Hat, Crystal (Christopher) DeCnodder and great grandchild Charlie Jacob DeCnodder of Calgary. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Janet, his sister Theresa Warshawsky and his brother Henry Joinson.
Peter worked for the City of Fernie for 37 years before retiring to Newgate. He was an excellent gardener and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking delicious meals for his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by those who loved him.
A service was held for Peter at Cherished Memories “Serenity Chapel” on Tuesday, November 16th with Father Bart van Roijen, Celebrant. Interment followed at St. Margaret’s Cemetery.
