We are deeply saddened that Teresa Mary Naccarato passed away on February 2, 2020 after celebrating 96 years of life. She is with her beloved husband, Evaristo (Gris), and her parents, Peitro and Faustina Demartini.
Teresa was born in Corbin, BC and spent her childhood between Corbin and Italy before finally settling in Fernie. It was here she met and married her husband Evaristo (Gris). Together they raised three boys: Peter, Richard and Norman.
Teresa is survived by her three sons, Peter (Jan), Rick (Jan Marie) and Norman (Angela); her grandchildren: Julie (Malcolm), Chris (Britney), Loree (Neven) Garrett, Kloee (Cole), Elizabeth, Patrick and Alexandra, and great grandchildren Penny, Emily, Kruz and Kolby. She is also survived by her brother Edward (Eddy) Demartini and numerous nieces and nephews.
Prayers will be held at the Holy Family Catholic Church (601 4th Ave, Fernie) on Friday, February 14th at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family on Saturday, February 15th at 10:30 am.
The family would like to thank her caregivers at the Rocky Mountain Village for their loving care, as well as their sincere appreciation to Dr. Todd Loewen and the medical staff at the Elk Valley Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rocky Mountain Village Auxiliary Society.
