The Calgary Track and Field Club, (Caltaf), held their annual track and field meet, the Caltaf Track Classic, on June 9 and 10.

Three Passtrak athletes competed in 22 events over the course of the weekend with very positive results.

Alan Wong, a first year Peewee athlete, had four events each day of the meet. He had previously competed in three of those events and was able to produce life time best performances in all three.

His 60 metre race improved from 12.46 seconds to 10.83. His long jump best improved by over half a metre out to 3.09 metres. His shotput distance increased to a best ever 3.79 metres.

Noah Schuh, a second year Peewee athlete, improved in all four of his previously contested events. He dropped his 60m time from 11.62 seconds to 10.45. His long jump distance improved to 3.42 metres, good enough for third place. He tied his best ever in the high jump at 1 metre and finished off with a new distance of 5.55 metres in the shotput.

Josh Schulz had six events in the youth boys age group. Although he didnʼt manage any lifetime best performances he did improve his technique and developed more consistency in all six of his field events. He finished just out of the medals with fourth place finishes in both the shotput and discus.
