On April 7, snowboarders are invited to strap in for a day of shredding in the Dirty Dancer Banked Slalom Open, a downhill race through the Dancer Gully in Lizard Bowl.

FAR invites boarders to get back to their roots with this all ages event, “A throwback to the 80s where boarders were the outlaws of the Wild West, banned from most ski resorts and forced to fight for the right to shred.”

Registration opened on Monday, March 19 for $25. After April 4, it will be $30. Entry fee will include two timed runs, a barbecue burger, beverage ad prizes.

The categories are as follow: Open Grom (Under 14), Open Youth (15-18), Open Adult (19+) and Pro Mens and Womens.

A variety of great prizes are up for grabs, sponsored by local skate and board shops, Commit Snow and Skate, Edge of the World and Boardstiff Snow Skate and Surf.

To register visit Skircr.com.
